Governor of New York Sued for Discrimination

Governor Paterson is both the first African American governor of New York as well as a the first legally blind governor in the United States. Frederic Dicker of the New York Postrepotted in May 2009, that the state secretly settled a lawsuit for $300,000.

A former Senate photographer accused Governor Paterson of terminating him in order to hire an African-American photographer. The lawsuit is clearly an embarrassment.
